<br><strong>CONSIDERANDO <\/strong>o memorando n\u00ba 074\/2019 \u2013 PPGMBT\/ESA\/UEA; <strong>CONSIDERANDO <\/strong>a decis\u00e3o da C\u00e2mara de Pesquisa e P\u00f3s-Gradua\u00e7\u00e3o \u2013 CPPG, em reuni\u00e3o realizada em 11 de mar\u00e7o de 2021; <strong>CONSIDERANDO <\/strong>ainda o que consta no Processo n\u00ba. 2019\/00035035- UEA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>RESOLVE: <\/strong><br><strong>APROVAR a altera\u00e7\u00e3o da Resolu\u00e7\u00e3o n\u00ba 003\/2019, <\/strong>que disp\u00f5e sobre o Regimento Interno do Programa de P\u00f3s-Gradua\u00e7\u00e3o em Biotecnologia e Recursos Naturais da Amaz\u00f4nia \u2013 PPGMBT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CAP\u00cdTULO I DISPOSI\u00c7\u00d5ES GERAIS E OBJETIVOS<\/strong><br><br>Art. 1\u00ba O Programa de P\u00f3s-Gradua\u00e7\u00e3o em Biotecnologia e Recursos Naturais da Amaz\u00f4nia, da Universidade do Estado do Amazonas-UEA, ser\u00e1 vinculado \u00e0 Pr\u00f3-Reitoria de P\u00f3s-Gradua\u00e7\u00e3o e Pesquisa \u2013 PROPESP, com sede na Escola Superior de Ci\u00eancias da Sa\u00fade em Manaus-AM.<br><br>Art. 2\u00ba O Programa tem por finalidade desenvolver o ensino e a pesquisa, colaborando para a forma\u00e7\u00e3o e o aprimoramento de docentes, pesquisadores e profissionais da \u00e1rea, comprometidos com o avan\u00e7o da biotecnologia, como instrumento relevante para o desenvolvimento da Amaz\u00f4nia.<br>\u00a71\u00ba O Curso de Mestrado em Biotecnologia e Recursos Naturais visa \u00e0 capacita\u00e7\u00e3o e a qualifica\u00e7\u00e3o cient\u00edfica de profissionais das \u00e1reas afins com a biotecnologia, para o exerc\u00edcio de atividades de ensino, pesquisa e inova\u00e7\u00e3o tecnol\u00f3gica em biotecnologia e recursos naturais da Amaz\u00f4nia.<br>\u00a72\u00ba O Programa poder\u00e1 oferecer turmas especiais do curso de mestrado, fora de sede, nos munic\u00edpios do Estado do Amazonas, desde que atenda as especificidades da regi\u00e3o e os interesses e demandas do Programa.<br>\u00a73\u00ba As turmas especiais do curso de mestrado oferecidas nos munic\u00edpios do Estado do Amazonas ser\u00e3o acompanhadas por um docente residente, credenciado no Programa.<br><br>Art. 3\u00ba A \u00e1rea de concentra\u00e7\u00e3o do Programa \u00e9 Biotecnologia e Bioprospec\u00e7\u00e3o, com duas linhas de pesquisa:<br>I. Conserva\u00e7\u00e3o e uso sustent\u00e1vel da biodiversidade<br>II. Bioprospec\u00e7\u00e3o, bioprocessos e bioprodutos<br>Par\u00e1grafo \u00danico As linhas de pesquisa dos docentes ser\u00e3o distribu\u00eddas dentro das linhas de pesquisa do Programa.<br><br>Art. 4\u00ba O Programa ser\u00e1 constitu\u00eddo por:<br>I- Colegiado de Curso;<br>II- Conselho de Curso;<br>III- Coordenador de Curso;<br>IV- Secretaria.<br><br>Art.5\u00ba A administra\u00e7\u00e3o acad\u00eamica e did\u00e1tica do Programa ser\u00e1 de compet\u00eancia da Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o de Curso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>SE\u00c7\u00c3O I<br>DO COLEGIADO DE CURSO<\/strong><br><br>Art. 6\u00ba O Colegiado de P\u00f3s-Gradua\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 a inst\u00e2ncia m\u00e1xima deliberativa no \u00e2mbito do Programa, e \u00e9 constitu\u00edda pelo corpo docente permanente do Programa e uma representa\u00e7\u00e3o discente, eleita por seus pares.<br>Art. 7\u00ba O Colegiado de P\u00f3s-Gradua\u00e7\u00e3o do programa ter\u00e1 as seguintes atribui\u00e7\u00f5es:<br>I \u2013 Aprovar, em primeira inst\u00e2ncia, o Regimento Interno do Programa;<br>II \u2013 Eleger o Coordenador, o Vice-Coordenador e os demais integrantes do Conselho do Programa dentre os membros docentes permanentes do colegiado do Programa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>SE\u00c7\u00c3O II<br>DA CONSELHO DE CURSO<\/strong><br><br>Art. 8\u00ba A Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o de Curso \u00e9 o \u00f3rg\u00e3o de car\u00e1ter consultivo e deliberativo, competente e respons\u00e1vel pela pol\u00edtica e diretriz geral administrativa e de gest\u00e3o do Programa, constitu\u00eddo pelos seguintes membros:<br>I \u2013 Pelo Coordenador e Vice-Coordenador;<br>II \u2013 Por no m\u00ednimo dois docentes do quadro permanente do Programa n\u00e3o contemplados nos cargos de Coordenador e Vice-Coordenador do PPG;<br>III \u2013 Por um representante discente, eleito por seus pares.<br>\u00a71o Os dois membros docentes ser\u00e3o eleitos por seus pares, para um mandato de dois anos, sendo permitida uma recondu\u00e7\u00e3o.<br>\u00a72o O representante discente e seu suplente ser\u00e3o eleitos pelos alunos regularmente matriculados no curso, para o mandato de um ano, sendo permitida uma recondu\u00e7\u00e3o.<br><br>Art. 9\u00ba A Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o do Curso reunir-se-\u00e1 ordinariamente, uma vez por m\u00eas e\/ou extraordinariamente a qualquer tempo, por meio de convoca\u00e7\u00e3o do Coordenador do Curso ou por solicita\u00e7\u00e3o por escrito e fundamentado de metade dos seus membros, com anteced\u00eancia m\u00ednima de 48 horas.<br>Par\u00e1grafo \u00danico A reuni\u00e3o da Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o de Curso ocorrer\u00e1 com a presen\u00e7a da maioria de seus membros e deliberar\u00e1 por maioria simples de votos, cabendo ao presidente, em caso de empate, o voto de qualidade.<br><br>Art. 10o S\u00e3o atribui\u00e7\u00f5es da Conselho do Curso:<br>I- Aprovar o regimento interno do curso e suas altera\u00e7\u00f5es;<br>II- Definir ou redefinir as linhas de pesquisas do curso;<br>III- Avaliar e aprovar a estrutura curricular do curso, as ementas, o n\u00famero de cr\u00e9ditos das disciplinas e suas altera\u00e7\u00f5es;<br>IV- Aprovar o credenciamento, descredenciamento, recredenciamento e\/ou a substitui\u00e7\u00e3o de professores que integram o corpo docente do Programa.<br>V- Aprovar a programa\u00e7\u00e3o anual ou semestral para o calend\u00e1rio acad\u00eamico do Programa;<br>VI- Propor e apreciar propostas de conv\u00eanios e parcerias com institui\u00e7\u00f5es p\u00fablicas e privadas, observando os interesses e os objetivos do Programa, os quais dever\u00e3o seguir os tr\u00e2mites pr\u00f3prios da Universidade;<br>VII- Avaliar e aprovar a proposta de edital para a sele\u00e7\u00e3o anual de novos alunos, elaborada por comiss\u00e3o institu\u00edda pela coordena\u00e7\u00e3o do Programa; VIII- Apreciar propostas de cria\u00e7\u00e3o de turmas especiais fora de sede, nos munic\u00edpios do Amazonas;<br>IX- Decidir sobre a prorroga\u00e7\u00e3o de prazo para a defesa da disserta\u00e7\u00e3o de mestrado;<br>X- Analisar pedidos de mudan\u00e7a de orienta\u00e7\u00e3o;<br>XI- Analisar os recursos impetrados no Programa;<br>XII- Apreciar e decidir sobre quaisquer quest\u00f5es que n\u00e3o estejam previstas neste regimento interno e que se refiram ao Programa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>SE\u00c7\u00c3O III<br>DA COORDENA\u00c7\u00c3O<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Art. 11o O Coordenador constitui parte da Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o de Curso e desempenha atividades acad\u00eamicas e administrativas em coletividade com os membros da Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o de Curso.<br><br>Art. 12o O Coordenador e Vice-Coordenador do Curso ser\u00e3o eleitos por um col\u00e9gio eleitoral integrado pelos professores do corpo docente, para um mandato de 2 (dois) anos, devendo o final do mandato coincidir com a data final em que anualmente s\u00e3o encaminhados os dados do Programa para a CAPES pela UEA, , sendo permitida uma recondu\u00e7\u00e3o.<br>\u00a71o A elei\u00e7\u00e3o para Coordenador ser\u00e1 homologada pelo colegiado, e dever\u00e1 ser convocada pelo Conselho com anteced\u00eancia de 15 dias e a elei\u00e7\u00e3o dever\u00e1 ocorrer at\u00e9 30 dias antes do final do mandato do mesmo.<br>\u00a72o S\u00f3 poder\u00e1 se candidatar a Coordenador o docente que pertencer ao quadro efetivo da UEA em regime de 40 horas.<br>\u00a73o O pleito ser\u00e1 coordenado por uma comiss\u00e3o eleitoral e realizado de acordo com as normas estabelecidas pela UEA e deliberado pelo colegiado do programa<br>\u00a74o Se ocorrer vac\u00e2ncia, ser\u00e1 eleito novo Coordenador na forma prevista neste regimento.<br><br>Art. 13o S\u00e3o atribui\u00e7\u00f5es do Coordenador:<br>I- Cumprir e fazer cumprir este regimento e as normas em vigor, exercer a dire\u00e7\u00e3o administrativa e coordenar as atividades acad\u00eamicas e curriculares do Curso de Mestrado;<br>II- Convocar as reuni\u00f5es da Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o de Curso e conduzi-las como presidente;<br>III- Elaborar os calend\u00e1rios acad\u00eamicos do curso, submetendo-os \u00e0 Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o de Curso;<br>IV- Submeter \u00e0 Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o do Curso a lista dos examinadores que integrar\u00e3o as comiss\u00f5es examinadoras de trabalhos de disserta\u00e7\u00e3o, conforme sugest\u00e3o dos orientadores;<br>V- Submeter \u00e0 Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o os nomes das comiss\u00f5es de sele\u00e7\u00e3o de mestrado, de bolsa, de credenciamento e demais comiss\u00f5es necess\u00e1rias; VI- Providenciar a realiza\u00e7\u00e3o das sess\u00f5es de apresenta\u00e7\u00e3o do exame de qualifica\u00e7\u00e3o e das defesas p\u00fablicas das disserta\u00e7\u00f5es;<br>VII- Providenciar a execu\u00e7\u00e3o e encaminhamento do relat\u00f3rio anual das atividades do Programa para a Pr\u00f3-Reitoria de Pesquisa e P\u00f3s- Gradua\u00e7\u00e3o;<br><br>Art. 14o A Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o da turma especial do Curso de Mestrado fora de sede, oferecido no interior do Estado, ser\u00e1 realizada por um docente do Programa residente no munic\u00edpio, indicado pela Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o de Curso, a quem compete atender as diretrizes do Programa de P\u00f3s-Gradua\u00e7\u00e3o em Biotecnologia e Recursos Naturais da Amaz\u00f4nia e cumprir o que determina o presente regimento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>SE\u00c7\u00c3O IV<br>DA SECRETARIA<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Art. 15o A Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o do Programa ter\u00e1 uma secretaria a ela subordinada que funcionar\u00e1 como \u00f3rg\u00e3o executivo dos servi\u00e7os t\u00e9cnicos e administrativos de escritura\u00e7\u00e3o do controle acad\u00eamico e ser\u00e1 dirigida por um (a) secret\u00e1rio (a) de Curso.<br><br>Art. 16o S\u00e3o compet\u00eancias da Secretaria do Curso:<br>I- Promover a organiza\u00e7\u00e3o e manuten\u00e7\u00e3o dos arquivos;<br>II- Divulgar a agenda das reuni\u00f5es da Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o;<br>III- Registrar em atas as reuni\u00f5es e defesas do Programa;<br>IV- Encaminhar ao Coordenador os documentos dirigidos ao Programa que necessitem de seu parecer ou de seu conhecimento;<br>V- Providenciar os servi\u00e7os de digita\u00e7\u00e3o e reprografia necess\u00e1rios ao bom andamento dos servi\u00e7os;<br>VI- Preparar relat\u00f3rios e outros documentos sob a orienta\u00e7\u00e3o do Coordenador;<br>VII- Observar e fazer observar o calend\u00e1rio acad\u00eamico;<br>VIII- Divulgar em mural pr\u00f3prio e por via eletr\u00f4nica avisos, material externo, edital e outros documentos referentes ou de interesse do Programa;<br>IX- Manter registro e efetuar o acompanhamento da documenta\u00e7\u00e3o discente e docente;<br>X- Efetuar registros e manter atualizado o programa de cadastro digital Lyceum;<br>XI- Efetuar registros e manter atualizado o Cadastro de Discente no sistema da CAPES;<br>XII- Registrar e manter atualizado o portal do Programa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SE\u00c7\u00c3O V<br>DA COMISS\u00c3O DE BOLSAS<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Art. 17o A Comiss\u00e3o de Bolsas ser\u00e1 formada por um representante do corpo docente e seu suplente nomeados pela Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o do Programa e um representante do corpo discente e seu suplente, eleitos por seus pares.<br><br>Art. 18o S\u00e3o atribui\u00e7\u00f5es da Comiss\u00e3o de Bolsas:<br>I- Estabelecer crit\u00e9rios para sele\u00e7\u00e3o dos candidatos a bolsistas submetendo-os \u00e0 aprova\u00e7\u00e3o da Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o de Curso, observando as normas das institui\u00e7\u00f5es de fomento; e da UEA;<br>II- Alocar as bolsas disponibilizadas ao curso, a qualquer momento, utilizando os crit\u00e9rios aprovados pela coordena\u00e7\u00e3o de Curso;<br>III- Apresentar \u00e0 Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o do Programa toda documenta\u00e7\u00e3o e atas das reuni\u00f5es da comiss\u00e3o;<br>IV- Acompanhar o desenvolvimento dos bolsistas.<br><br>Art. 19o As normas e procedimentos para a concess\u00e3o, renova\u00e7\u00e3o e cancelamento das bolsas de estudo ser\u00e3o avaliadas pela Comiss\u00e3o de Bolsas e homologadas pela Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o de Curso seguindo as normas das institui\u00e7\u00f5es de fomento.<br>Art. 20o As bolsas ser\u00e3o concedidas pelo prazo inicial de 12 meses, podendo ser renovadas apenas uma vez por igual per\u00edodo, de acordo com as exig\u00eancias dos respectivos \u00f3rg\u00e3os de fomento e da UEA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CAP\u00cdTULO III<br>DO PROCESSO SELETIVO E CANDIDATO<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Art. 21o O processo seletivo para ingresso no curso ser\u00e1 anual e conduzido por uma comiss\u00e3o de sele\u00e7\u00e3o indicada pelo Coordenador do Curso e aprovada pela Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o de Curso.<br>Art. 22o As normas do exame de sele\u00e7\u00e3o bem como o n\u00famero de vagas oferecido ser\u00e3o decididos a cada ano pelo colegiado de Curso e publicados em forma de edital.<br>\u00a71\u00ba No edital de sele\u00e7\u00e3o constar\u00e1 o n\u00famero de vagas, as l\u00ednguas estrangeiras eleg\u00edveis para o exame de profici\u00eancia, a convoca\u00e7\u00e3o p\u00fablica para o processo seletivo e a determina\u00e7\u00e3o dos prazos, requisitos e crit\u00e9rios para a inscri\u00e7\u00e3o e sele\u00e7\u00e3o, bem como, as datas dos exames.<br>\u00a72\u00ba Caso haja vaga remanescente, ficar\u00e1 a crit\u00e9rio da Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o de Curso convocar novo processo seletivo.<br>\u00a73\u00ba Caso haja desist\u00eancia de candidato aprovado, ser\u00e1 convocado o candidato subsequente na lista de classifica\u00e7\u00e3o.<br><br>Art. 23o S\u00e3o atribui\u00e7\u00f5es da Comiss\u00e3o de Sele\u00e7\u00e3o:<br>I- Propor os termos do processo seletivo, apresentando a minuta de edital \u00e0 Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o de Curso, observando as normas da UEA;e<br>II- Estabelecer os t\u00f3picos e a literatura recomendada para a prova de conhecimentos gerais;<br>III- Elaborar e corrigir as provas do processo seletivo, juntamente com os professores das \u00e1reas;<br>IV- Realizar an\u00e1lise de curr\u00edculo e cartas de recomenda\u00e7\u00e3o dos candidatos;<br>V- Encaminhar para a Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o do Programa o resultado da sele\u00e7\u00e3o por ordem decrescente de pontua\u00e7\u00e3o, assim como toda documenta\u00e7\u00e3o e atas at\u00e9 dez dias ap\u00f3s o t\u00e9rmino do processo seletivo.<br><br>Art. 24o O candidato ao Curso de Mestrado do Programa em Biotecnologia e Recursos Naturais da Amaz\u00f4nia dever\u00e1 satisfazer as seguintes exig\u00eancias m\u00ednimas:<br>I. Ter conclu\u00eddo curso de gradua\u00e7\u00e3o em \u00e1reas afins;<br>II. Preencher os requisitos acad\u00eamicos estabelecidos no edital de sele\u00e7\u00e3o vigente;<br>III. Apresentar, no prazo estipulado, a documenta\u00e7\u00e3o exigida no edital de sele\u00e7\u00e3o;<br>IV. Comprovar, no caso de aluno estrangeiro, profici\u00eancia na l\u00edngua portuguesa.<br><br>Art. 25o Candidatos portadores de diplomas de cursos compat\u00edveis, fornecidos por institui\u00e7\u00f5es de outro pa\u00eds, quando revalidados na forma da Lei, poder\u00e3o ser aceitos no mestrado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CAP\u00cdTULO IV<br>DA ESTRUTURA CURRICULAR<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Art. 26o O Curso de Mestrado em Biotecnologia e Recursos Naturais \u00e9 constitu\u00eddo de um conjunto de disciplinas, atividades, trabalhos te\u00f3ricos e\/ou pr\u00e1ticos, investiga\u00e7\u00e3o cient\u00edfica, exame de qualifica\u00e7\u00e3o e disserta\u00e7\u00e3o elaborada pelo aluno sob a supervis\u00e3o de um professor orientador doutor credenciado no Programa.<br><br>Art. 27o O Curso de Mestrado, incluindo a defesa e argui\u00e7\u00e3o p\u00fablica da disserta\u00e7\u00e3o, dever\u00e1 ser integralizado no m\u00ednimo em 12 e no m\u00e1ximo em 24 meses, contados a partir da data de matr\u00edcula do aluno.<br><br>Art. 28o A estrutura curricular do curso apresenta atividades e disciplinas caracterizadas por c\u00f3digo, denomina\u00e7\u00e3o, carga hor\u00e1ria, cr\u00e9ditos, ementas, respons\u00e1vel docente e bibliografia, agrupadas em tr\u00eas conjuntos:<br>I. Disciplinas obrigat\u00f3rias<br>II. Disciplinas eletivas<br>III. Atividades obrigat\u00f3rias<br>\u00a71o Disciplinas obrigat\u00f3rias s\u00e3o aquelas que representam o suporte formal e intelectual que dever\u00e3o ser cursadas em sua integralidade.<br>\u00a72o As disciplinas eletivas comp\u00f5em e definem as linhas de pesquisa do Programa e s\u00e3o indicadas pelo aluno com anu\u00eancia do orientador, atendendo ao m\u00ednimo necess\u00e1rio \u00e0 integraliza\u00e7\u00e3o dos cr\u00e9ditos curriculares.<br>\u00a73o Em atividades obrigat\u00f3rias s\u00e3o inclu\u00eddas a elabora\u00e7\u00e3o do projeto de disserta\u00e7\u00e3o, exame de qualifica\u00e7\u00e3o e defesa da disserta\u00e7\u00e3o.<br><br>Art. 29o O regime did\u00e1tico do curso \u00e9 de unidades de cr\u00e9ditos obtidos nas disciplinas e atividades. Cada unidade de cr\u00e9dito corresponde a 15 horas-aula.<br>\u00a71o As disciplinas ser\u00e3o constitu\u00eddas de aulas te\u00f3ricas, pr\u00e1ticas, te\u00f3ricas- pr\u00e1ticas e semin\u00e1rios.<br>\u00a72o Registram-se como atividades complementares com direito a cr\u00e9dito, a publica\u00e7\u00e3o de artigos cient\u00edficos em revista indexada no Qualis da CAPES A e B da \u00e1rea de Biotecnologia e registro de patente, junto com os orientadores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CAP\u00cdTULO V<br>DO CORPO DOCENTE E CREDENCIAMENTO<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Art. 30o Integram o corpo docente do Programa os professores doutores, ou, quando for o caso, profissionais de p\u00fablico e not\u00f3rio saber cient\u00edfico, reconhecido por seus pares, para ministrar aulas ou desenvolver atividades did\u00e1tico-cient\u00edficas no Programa.<br><br>Art. 31o Os professores ser\u00e3o credenciados nas categorias de permanente, colaborador e visitante, segundo normas da CAPES.<br><br>Art. 32o O credenciamento, descredenciamento e recredenciamento de docentes ser\u00e3o regulamentados em normas elaboradas pela comiss\u00e3o de credenciamento de acordo com as normas da CAPES, Regimento geral da P\u00f3s-gradua\u00e7\u00e3o da UEA e aprovadas pelo colegiado do Curso.<br><br>Art. 33o Para o credenciamento dos professores no Programa \u00e9 exigido conson\u00e2ncia com as linhas de pesquisa do curso, com a demanda do mesmo, desempenho did\u00e1tico e produ\u00e7\u00e3o cient\u00edfica adequada, al\u00e9m de disponibilidade para orientar alunos.<br><br>Art. 34o S\u00e3o atribui\u00e7\u00f5es docentes:<br>I- Providenciar a inser\u00e7\u00e3o dos orientandos em grupo de pesquisa, garantindo o cadastramento de cada discente nos bancos de dados curriculares de refer\u00eancia e sua incorpora\u00e7\u00e3o a um projeto e uma linha de pesquisa;<br>II- Registrar frequ\u00eancias e avalia\u00e7\u00f5es no sistema docente on-line da UEA, na primeira semana ap\u00f3s a conclus\u00e3o da disciplina;<br>III- Encaminhar anualmente \u00e0 secretaria a proposta atualizada do plano da disciplina;<br>IV- Dar parecer para convalida\u00e7\u00e3o de cr\u00e9ditos em disciplinas da sua \u00e1rea, no prazo m\u00e1ximo de sete dias.<br>V- Apresentar \u00e0 Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o do Curso, no final do ano letivo, o relat\u00f3rio anual das atividades realizadas no Programa.<br>VI- Submeter \u00e0 publica\u00e7\u00e3o em revistas indexadas no Qualis da CAPES, pelo menos um artigo cient\u00edfico vinculado \u00e0 disserta\u00e7\u00e3o de cada orientando.<br>VII- Oferecer anualmente disciplina no Programa.<br>VIII- Demonstrar capacidade de capta\u00e7\u00e3o de recursos externos, individualmente ou em equipe, atrav\u00e9s de projetos aprovados pelos \u00f3rg\u00e3os financiadores.<br>IX- Demonstrar capacidade de intera\u00e7\u00e3o com outras institui\u00e7\u00f5es (ensino, pesquisa ou empresas), atrav\u00e9s de projetos em colabora\u00e7\u00e3o ou assessoria, permitindo transfer\u00eancia de recursos, bem como o interc\u00e2mbio cient\u00edfico e acad\u00eamico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CAP\u00cdTULO VI<br>DO CORPO DISCENTE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Art. 35\u00ba O Corpo Discente ser\u00e1 formado por alunos regulares matriculados no Curso, portadores de diplomas de cursos de gradua\u00e7\u00e3o de institui\u00e7\u00f5es de ensino superior, nacionais ou estrangeiras, aprovados no exame de sele\u00e7\u00e3o e\/ou aceitos pela Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o de Curso, matriculados em disciplinas e em dia com suas obriga\u00e7\u00f5es regulamentares. <br><br><strong>SE\u00c7\u00c3O I<br>DA MATR\u00cdCULA<\/strong><br><br>Art. 36o A matr\u00edcula dos candidatos aprovados e classificados no processo seletivo ocorrer\u00e1 mediante a apresenta\u00e7\u00e3o dos seguintes documentos:<br>I- Formul\u00e1rio de matricula devidamente preenchido;<br>II- C\u00f3pia autenticada do diploma do curso de gradua\u00e7\u00e3o e hist\u00f3rico escolar ou comprovante de conclus\u00e3o de curso de gradua\u00e7\u00e3o;<br>III- C\u00f3pia da c\u00e9dula de identidade, CPF, comprovante de vota\u00e7\u00e3o da \u00faltima elei\u00e7\u00e3o e certid\u00e3o de nascimento;<br>IV- C\u00f3pia do certificado de reservista, para os homens;<br>V- Uma foto 3&#215;4.<br><br>Art. 37o A matr\u00edcula nas disciplinas e atividades ser\u00e1 semestral e obrigat\u00f3ria para os alunos regulares, conforme calend\u00e1rio divulgado pela Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o do Curso.<br>\u00a71\u00ba As matr\u00edculas nas disciplinas obrigat\u00f3rias ser\u00e3o indicadas pela Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o do Programa.<br>\u00a72\u00ba As matr\u00edculas nas disciplinas eletivas ser\u00e3o realizadas com a concord\u00e2ncia do orientador.<br>\u00a73\u00ba O aluno ser\u00e1 desligado do Curso quando n\u00e3o se matricular dentro do prazo fixado pelo calend\u00e1rio acad\u00eamico.<br><br><strong>SE\u00c7\u00c3O II<br>DA INSCRI\u00c7\u00c3O COMO ALUNO ESPECIAL<\/strong><br><br>Art. 38o Poder\u00e1 ser concedida inscri\u00e7\u00e3o como aluno especial em disciplinas no curso de mestrado, a interessados que tenham conclu\u00eddo curso de gradua\u00e7\u00e3o.<br>\u00a71\u00ba A inscri\u00e7\u00e3o de alunos especiais em disciplinas ser\u00e1 conforme calend\u00e1rio divulgado pela Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o do curso, estando condicionada \u00e0 exist\u00eancia de vagas e \u00e0 aprova\u00e7\u00e3o do respons\u00e1vel pela disciplina.<br>\u00a72\u00ba As exig\u00eancias para matr\u00edcula das disciplinas escolhidas ser\u00e3o as mesmas a serem satisfeitas pelos alunos regulares do curso de mestrado.<br>\u00a73\u00ba Ao aluno especial que cursar as disciplinas do Programa n\u00e3o ser\u00e1 garantido o ingresso como aluno regular do curso, devendo este ser aprovado em processo seletivo.<br><br><strong>SE\u00c7\u00c3O III<br>DO TRANCAMENTO DO CURSO E CANCELAMENTO DE DISCIPLINA<\/strong><br><br>Art. 39o O trancamento caracteriza-se pela suspens\u00e3o tempor\u00e1ria do v\u00ednculo do aluno com o curso, em virtude da impossibilidade de realizar, naquele per\u00edodo, as atividades regulares do Programa.<br>\u00a71\u00ba A concess\u00e3o do trancamento assegura ao aluno o direito de retornar ao curso no final do per\u00edodo concedido, com garantia de sua vaga.<br>\u00a72\u00ba O per\u00edodo de trancamento ser\u00e1 computado para a integraliza\u00e7\u00e3o do prazo m\u00e1ximo permitido para a conclus\u00e3o do Curso de Mestrado, exceto casos amparados por Lei.<br><br>Art. 40o Ser\u00e1 permitido ao aluno, atrav\u00e9s de processo devidamente instru\u00eddo, solicitar o trancamento de sua matr\u00edcula no curso, pelo prazo nunca superior a seis meses.<br>\u00a71\u00ba O trancamento do curso n\u00e3o ser\u00e1 concedido no primeiro per\u00edodo letivo de ingresso do aluno.<br>\u00a72o No trancamento do curso o aluno perder\u00e1 os direitos \u00e0 bolsa de estudos.<br>\u00a73o O tempo para titula\u00e7\u00e3o do aluno ser\u00e1 contado ininterruptamente, a partir da data de matr\u00edcula no Programa.<br>\u00a74\u00ba O trancamento s\u00f3 poder\u00e1 ser concedido se o aluno tiver, comprovadamente, prazo legal dispon\u00edvel suficiente para, quando de seu retorno ao curso, concluir as atividades pendentes.<br>\u00a75\u00ba O pedido de trancamento dever\u00e1 ser instru\u00eddo com o novo cronograma a ser desenvolvido pelo aluno quando de seu retorno, devidamente aprovado pelo professor orientador.<br><br>Art. 41o O trancamento do Curso n\u00e3o ser\u00e1 concedido, em nenhuma hip\u00f3tese, nos casos em que sua concess\u00e3o adquirir natureza jur\u00eddica de prorroga\u00e7\u00e3o, destinando-se a conceder ao aluno acr\u00e9scimo de prazo para que conclua as atividades exigidas pelo Curso.<br><br>Art. 42o Ser\u00e1 facultado aos alunos regulares o pedido de cancelamento de qualquer disciplina eletiva, desde que n\u00e3o tenha decorrido mais da metade da carga hor\u00e1ria.<br>\u00a71\u00ba O pedido de cancelamento de disciplina dever\u00e1 ser justificado e solicitado pelo aluno com anu\u00eancia do orientador, dirigido ao Coordenador do Programa.<br>\u00a72\u00ba Disciplina cancelada n\u00e3o ser\u00e1 inclu\u00edda no hist\u00f3rico escolar.<br><br><strong>CAP\u00cdTULO VII DA ORIENTA\u00c7\u00c3O<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Art. 43o A partir de 30 dias ap\u00f3s o in\u00edcio do per\u00edodo letivo, o aluno dever\u00e1 ter definido seu orientador, pertencente ao quadro docente do Programa.<br>\u00a71\u00ba \u00c9 permitida a troca de orientador at\u00e9 o d\u00e9cimo m\u00eas ap\u00f3s a data de ingresso, mediante exposi\u00e7\u00e3o em requerimento fundamentado, dirigido \u00e0 coordena\u00e7\u00e3o do Programa e aprovado pela Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o do Curso.<br>\u00a72\u00ba Atendendo a solicita\u00e7\u00e3o do orientador, em conson\u00e2ncia com o orientando, a Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o de Curso poder\u00e1 aprovar um co-orientador interno ou externo \u00e0 UEA, at\u00e9 o d\u00e9cimo m\u00eas ap\u00f3s a data de ingresso do aluno, n\u00e3o sendo necess\u00e1rio que o mesmo seja credenciado no Curso como professor.<br>\u00a73\u00ba O n\u00famero m\u00e1ximo de orientandos por professor permanente do Programa, ser\u00e1 de seis.<br>\u00a74\u00ba O professor colaborador ou visitante poder\u00e1 orientar no m\u00e1ximo tr\u00eas alunos.<br>\u00a75\u00ba Quando o orientador for um professor visitante ou colaborador, o discente dever\u00e1 ter, obrigatoriamente, um co-orientador ligado ao N\u00facleo Docente Permanente;<br><br>Art. 44o O professor orientador poder\u00e1 desobrigar-se da incumb\u00eancia da orienta\u00e7\u00e3o, \u00e0 vista de relat\u00f3rio circunstanciado sobre as causas da interrup\u00e7\u00e3o do trabalho de orienta\u00e7\u00e3o, cabendo \u00e0 Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o de Curso mediar com o discente um novo orientador.<br><br>Art. 45o S\u00e3o atribui\u00e7\u00f5es do orientador:<br>I- Orientar a matr\u00edcula em disciplinas consent\u00e2neas com a forma\u00e7\u00e3o e preparo do aluno e com os prop\u00f3sitos de especialidade por ele manifestada;<br>II- Acompanhar permanentemente o trabalho do aluno;<br>III- Assinar em conjunto com o orientando, todos os documentos de interesse do aluno, encaminhados \u00e0 Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o do Programa;<br>IV- Auxiliar na defini\u00e7\u00e3o do tema da disserta\u00e7\u00e3o e na elabora\u00e7\u00e3o do projeto;<br>V- Encaminhar \u00e0 Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o do Curso, no prazo m\u00e1ximo de oito meses ap\u00f3s a matr\u00edcula do aluno, o projeto de disserta\u00e7\u00e3o juntamente com o requerimento de agendamento da aula de qualifica\u00e7\u00e3o;<br>VI- Sugerir a Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o sete nomes para composi\u00e7\u00e3o da banca examinadora do exame de qualifica\u00e7\u00e3o e da defesa p\u00fablica de disserta\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CAP\u00cdTULO VIII<br>DA AVALIA\u00c7\u00c3O E DAS CONDI\u00c7\u00d5ES DE APROVA\u00c7\u00c3O EM DISCIPLINAS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Art. 46o Os alunos ser\u00e3o avaliados atrav\u00e9s das atividades previstas nos planos de ensino.<br><br>Art. 47o A frequ\u00eancia do aluno \u00e0s aulas \u00e9 obrigat\u00f3ria e n\u00e3o poder\u00e1 ser inferior a 75% da carga hor\u00e1ria.<br><br>Art. wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CAP\u00cdTULO IX<br>DOS CR\u00c9DITOS E ATIVIDADES DISCENTES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Art. 49o O Curso de Mestrado em Biotecnologia e Recursos Naturais ter\u00e1 100 unidades de cr\u00e9ditos no m\u00ednimo, ou seja, 1.500 horas de atividades programadas, sendo 25 cr\u00e9ditos em disciplinas e atividades e 75 cr\u00e9ditos no desenvolvimento da pesquisa para elabora\u00e7\u00e3o da disserta\u00e7\u00e3o e defesa.<br>\u00a71\u00ba As disciplinas obrigat\u00f3rias equivalem a 07 cr\u00e9ditos e dever\u00e3o ser cursadas em sua integralidade.<br>\u00a72\u00ba As disciplinas eletivas, indicadas em cada especialidade ou em fun\u00e7\u00e3o da linha de pesquisa, equivalem a 18 cr\u00e9ditos.<br>\u00a73\u00ba O aluno que publicar com co-autoria de um docente do Programa ter\u00e1 aproveitamento equivalente em cr\u00e9ditos, conforme especificado a seguir:<br>\u2022 Patente solicitada com n\u00famero de documenta\u00e7\u00e3o pertinente: certificado de conclus\u00e3o, hist\u00f3rico escolar, ementa e conte\u00fado program\u00e1tico da disciplina cursada, desde que tenham sido obtidos no tempo acompanhado da ementa, conte\u00fado program\u00e1tico da disciplina cursada e comprova\u00e7\u00e3o de aprova\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CAP\u00cdTULO X<br>DO PROJETO DE DISSERTA\u00c7\u00c3O<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Art. 51o O projeto de disserta\u00e7\u00e3o dever\u00e1 ser encaminhado pelo orientador \u00e0 Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o do Programa, no prazo m\u00e1ximo de oito meses ap\u00f3s a matr\u00edcula inicial do aluno, e deve obrigatoriamente respeitar as linhas de pesquisa do Curso.<br><br>Art. 52o O aluno poder\u00e1 solicitar mudan\u00e7a de projeto com anu\u00eancia do orientador no prazo m\u00e1ximo de 12 meses a contar da matr\u00edcula inicial, devendo justificar as raz\u00f5es da mudan\u00e7a.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CAP\u00cdTULO XI<br>DO EXAME DE QUALIFICA\u00c7\u00c3O<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Art. 53o O aluno dever\u00e1 submeter-se ao exame de qualifica\u00e7\u00e3o no intervalo compreendido entre o 6\u00ba e o 9\u00ba m\u00eas, a contar da data de ingresso no Curso, perante Banca Examinadora presidida pelo orientador e composta por mais 2 (dois) membros titulares e 2 (dois) suplentes, sendo vetada a participa\u00e7\u00e3o do orientador e co-orientador como membro da Banca Examinadora<br>\u00a71\u00ba O orientador dever\u00e1 apresentar requerimento acompanhado de uma c\u00f3pia do projeto, em formato digital (arquivo PDF), \u00e0 Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o do Programa, no prazo m\u00ednimo de 30 dias antes do exame de qualifica\u00e7\u00e3o.<br>I \u2013 O orientador e seu orientado ficam respons\u00e1veis pelo encaminhamento do projeto aos membros da banca examinadora, juntamente com a carta convite de participa\u00e7\u00e3o assinada pelo Coordenador do Programa.<br>\u00a72\u00ba Pelo menos um dos membros titulares dever\u00e1 ser externo ao Programa.<br><br>Art. 54o O exame de qualifica\u00e7\u00e3o ter\u00e1 por finalidade apresentar o projeto de disserta\u00e7\u00e3o para an\u00e1lise, avalia\u00e7\u00e3o e sugest\u00e3o da banca examinadora, bem como avaliar o conhecimento cient\u00edfico do aluno nas diversas \u00e1reas relacionadas ao seu projeto de pesquisa e sua capacidade de comunica\u00e7\u00e3o.<br>\u00a71o O aluno do mestrado dispor\u00e1 de no m\u00ednimo 30 minutos e no m\u00e1ximo 50 minutos, para exposi\u00e7\u00e3o de seu projeto.<br>\u00a72o Cada membro da Banca ter\u00e1 20 minutos de argui\u00e7\u00e3o, tendo o aluno igual tempo para resposta.<br>\u00a73o Cada membro emitir\u00e1 parecer individual considerando o aluno aprovado ou reprovado.<br>\u00a74o O aluno ser\u00e1 reprovado quando a maioria dos membros da Banca Examinadora emitir tal parecer.<br>\u00a75o O aluno reprovado no exame de qualifica\u00e7\u00e3o ter\u00e1 uma segunda oportunidade de repeti-lo no prazo m\u00e1ximo de 30 dias a contar da data da realiza\u00e7\u00e3o do primeiro exame.<br>\u00a76o Uma segunda reprova\u00e7\u00e3o acarretar\u00e1 no desligamento do aluno do Programa.<br>\u00a77o A Banca Examinadora lavrar\u00e1 ata do exame de qualifica\u00e7\u00e3o, em duas vias, que ser\u00e3o arquivadas na pasta individual do aluno e na pasta dos exames de qualifica\u00e7\u00e3o do referido ano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CAP\u00cdTULO XII<\/strong><br><strong>DA DISSERTA\u00c7\u00c3O<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Art. 55o A disserta\u00e7\u00e3o ser\u00e1 desenvolvida sob aconselhamento do professor orientador.<br>\u00a71o A disserta\u00e7\u00e3o constituir-se-\u00e1 de um trabalho te\u00f3rico e pr\u00e1tico em que o discente demonstre dom\u00ednio atualizado do tema, capacidade de pesquisa e aptid\u00e3o para apresentar metodologicamente o tema escolhido.<br>\u00a72o Os trabalhos de disserta\u00e7\u00e3o ser\u00e3o redigidos em l\u00edngua portuguesa e dever\u00e3o respeitar as normas de elabora\u00e7\u00e3o da disserta\u00e7\u00e3o estabelecidas pela Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o do Curso.<br><br>Art. 56o A defesa da disserta\u00e7\u00e3o dever\u00e1 ocorrer no prazo m\u00e1ximo de 24 meses a contar da data de ingresso no Curso.<br>\u00a71\u00ba A Banca Examinadora da defesa da disserta\u00e7\u00e3o ser\u00e1 presidida pelo orientador e composta por mais 2 (dois) membros titulares dos quais, pelo menos 1 (um), dever\u00e1 ser externo ao Corpo Docente do Programa e por 2 (dois) suplentes.<br>\u00a72\u00ba A defini\u00e7\u00e3o da data da defesa da disserta\u00e7\u00e3o fica condicionada ao dep\u00f3sito, junto \u00e0 Secretaria do Curso, de uma c\u00f3pia da disserta\u00e7\u00e3o, em formato digital (arquivo PDF).<br>\u00a73\u00ba Caber\u00e1 ao Conselho do Curso delibera\u00e7\u00e3o da composi\u00e7\u00e3o da Banca Examinadora, considerando as sugest\u00f5es de nomes apresentadas pelo orientador.<br>\u00a74\u00ba Caber\u00e1 ao Coordenador de Curso emitir portaria e fixar a data da defesa da disserta\u00e7\u00e3o.<br><br>Art. 57o As sess\u00f5es p\u00fablicas de defesa e argui\u00e7\u00e3o da disserta\u00e7\u00e3o realizar- se-\u00e3o em local, data e hora previamente divulgadas.<br>Par\u00e1grafo \u00danico Da sess\u00e3o de defesa de disserta\u00e7\u00e3o ser\u00e1 lavrada em ATA, que ser\u00e1 assinada pelo candidato e pelos membros da Banca em meio digital com o texto completo, figuras e outros materiais que fazem parte do trabalho, em um \u00fanico arquivo no formato PDF, para o acervo eletr\u00f4nico do Programa.<br>Par\u00e1grafo \u00danico A emiss\u00e3o da declara\u00e7\u00e3o de conclus\u00e3o do curso de mestrado ficar\u00e1 condicionada \u00e0 entrega de pelo menos a vers\u00e3o digital da disserta\u00e7\u00e3o corrigida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CAP\u00cdTULO XIII <\/strong><br><strong>DA PRORROGA\u00c7\u00c3O<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Art. 60o A prorroga\u00e7\u00e3o para defesa da disserta\u00e7\u00e3o de mestrado se caracteriza pela concess\u00e3o de per\u00edodo adicional de tempo, para que o aluno realize as atividades pendentes no Programa.<br>\u00a71\u00ba Somente a Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o de Curso poder\u00e1 autorizar a prorroga\u00e7\u00e3o, de no m\u00e1ximo seis meses, para conclus\u00e3o e defesa da disserta\u00e7\u00e3o, baseando- se em motivos consubstanciados em fatos acad\u00eamicos, t\u00e9cnicos e cient\u00edficos que determinaram o atraso na finaliza\u00e7\u00e3o do projeto.<br>\u00a72\u00ba Ter\u00e1 direito \u00e0 prorroga\u00e7\u00e3o, para defesa da disserta\u00e7\u00e3o, o aluno que tenha conclu\u00eddo os cr\u00e9ditos em disciplinas obrigat\u00f3rias e eletivas e obtido aprova\u00e7\u00e3o no exame de qualifica\u00e7\u00e3o.<br>\u00a73\u00ba A prorroga\u00e7\u00e3o s\u00f3 poder\u00e1 ser concedida se o aluno tiver possibilidade de concluir as atividades de pesquisa dentro do prazo solicitado, comprovado pelo orientador mediante relat\u00f3rio circunstanciado das atividades desenvolvidas at\u00e9 aquele momento, wp-block-paragraph\">Art. 61o O aluno ser\u00e1 desligado do Curso quando:<br>I- N\u00e3o efetivar a matr\u00edcula at\u00e9 30 dias ap\u00f3s o per\u00edodo definido no calend\u00e1rio acad\u00eamico;<br>II- Obtiver dois conceitos \u201cD\u201d durante o curso;<br>III- Reincidir reprova\u00e7\u00e3o em disciplinas;<br>IV- Ausentar-se sem justificativa apresentada por seu orientador por mais de 30 dias consecutivos;<br>V- N\u00e3o atender aos prazos estabelecidos neste regimento para integralizar os cr\u00e9ditos nas disciplinas, exame de qualifica\u00e7\u00e3o e defesa p\u00fablica da disserta\u00e7\u00e3o.<br><br>Art. 62o O aluno desligado do Curso s\u00f3 poder\u00e1 retornar ao Programa atrav\u00e9s de novo exame de sele\u00e7\u00e3o.<br>Par\u00e1grafo \u00danico Ao retornar ao Curso o aluno ter\u00e1 direito a aproveitamento de disciplinas, ap\u00f3s an\u00e1lise e aprova\u00e7\u00e3o da Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o de Curso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p Ser\u00e1 conferido o t\u00edtulo de Mestre em Biotecnologia e Recursos Naturais, com indica\u00e7\u00e3o no diploma da \u00e1rea de concentra\u00e7\u00e3o, ao aluno que tiver completado todos os requisitos exigidos no Programa e normas da Universidade.<br>Art. 64o Cumpridas todas as formalidades necess\u00e1rias \u00e0 conclus\u00e3o do Curso, o Coordenador encaminhar\u00e1 \u00e0 Secretaria Geral da UEA, a documenta\u00e7\u00e3o e comprovantes necess\u00e1rios para a diploma\u00e7\u00e3o.<br>\u00a71\u00ba Solicita\u00e7\u00e3o de contagem de cr\u00e9dito\/integraliza\u00e7\u00e3o, anexado \u00e0 ata da defesa da disserta\u00e7\u00e3o e um exemplar da disserta\u00e7\u00e3o em meio f\u00edsico e eletr\u00f4nico.<br>\u00a72\u00ba Solicita\u00e7\u00e3o de contagem de Conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity<br>II. Bioprospecting, bioprocesses and bioproducts<br>Sole Paragraph The professors&#8217; research lines will be distributed within the Program&#8217;s research lines.<br><br>Art. 4\u00ba The Program will be composed of:<br>I- Course Board;<br>II- Course Council;<br>III- Course Coordinator;<br>IV- Secretariat.<br><br>Art. 5\u00ba The academic and didactic administration of the Program will be the responsibility of the Course Coordination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>SECTION I<br>COURSE BOARD<\/strong><br><br>Art. 6 The Graduate Board is the highest decision-making body within the Program, and is made up of the Program&#8217;s permanent faculty and a student body elected by their peers.<br>Art. 7 The Graduate Board of the Program will have the following responsibilities:<br>I \u2013 To approve, in the first instance, the Program&#8217;s Internal Regulations;<br>II \u2013 To elect the Coordinator, the Vice-Coordinator and the other members of the Program Council from among the permanent faculty members of the Program&#8217;s board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>SECTION II<br>COURSE COUNCIL<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Art. 8 The Course Coordination is the advisory and deliberative body, competent and responsible for the general administrative and management policy and guidelines of the Program, consisting of the following members:<br>I \u2013 The Coordinator and Vice-Coordinator;<br>II \u2013 At least two permanent faculty members of the Program who are not included in the positions of Coordinator and Vice-Coordinator of the PPG;<br>III \u2013 One student representative, elected by their peers.<br>\u00a71 The two faculty members will be elected by their peers for a two-year term, with one reappointment permitted.<br>\u00a72 The student representative and his\/her alternate will be elected by the students regularly enrolled in the course for a one-year term, with one reappointment permitted.<br><br>Art. 9 The Course Coordination will meet regularly once a month and\/or extraordinarily at any time, upon summons by the Course Coordinator or upon written and substantiated request by half of its members, with at least 48 hours&#8217; notice.<br>Sole Paragraph The Course Coordination meeting will be held with the presence of the majority of its members and will deliberate by a simple majority of votes, with the chairman having the deciding vote in the event of a tie.<br><br>Art. 10 The duties of the Course Council are:<br>I- To approve the course&#8217;s internal regulations and any amendments thereto;<br>II- To define or redefine the course&#8217;s research lines;<br>III- To evaluate and approve the course&#8217;s curricular structure, syllabuses, the number of credits for the subjects and any amendments thereto;<br>IV- To approve the accreditation, de-accreditation, re-accreditation and\/or replacement of professors who are part of the Program&#8217;s teaching staff.<br>V- Approve the annual or semester schedule for the Program&#8217;s academic calendar;<br>VI- Propose and assess proposals for agreements and partnerships with public and private institutions, observing the Program&#8217;s interests and objectives, which must follow the University&#8217;s own procedures;<br>VII- Assess and approve the proposal for the annual selection of new students, prepared by a committee established by the Program&#8217;s coordination; VIII- Assess proposals for the creation of special classes outside the headquarters, in the municipalities of Amazonas;<br>IX- Decide on the extension of the deadline for the defense of the master&#8217;s dissertation;<br>X- Analyze requests for changes in orientation;<br>XI- Analyze appeals filed in the Program;<br>XII- Assess and decide on any issues that are not covered by these internal regulations and that refer to the Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>SECTION III<br>COORDINATION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Art. 11 The Coordinator is part of the Course Coordination and performs academic and administrative activities together with the members of the Course Coordination.<br><br>Art. 12 The Course Coordinator and Vice-Coordinator will be elected by an electoral college composed of faculty members for a term of 2 (two) years, with the end of the term coinciding with the final date on which the Program data is annually forwarded to CAPES by the UEA, with one reappointment permitted.<br>\u00a71 The election for Coordinator will be approved by the collegiate body and must be called by the Council 15 days in advance, and the election must take place up to 30 days before the end of the term.<br>\u00a72 Only faculty members who are permanent staff members of the UEA working 40 hours may apply for Coordinator. <br>\u00a73 The election will be coordinated by an electoral committee and carried out in accordance with the rules established by the UEA and deliberated by the program&#8217;s board. <br>\u00a74 If there is a vacancy, a new Coordinator will be elected in the manner provided for in these regulations. <br><br>Art. 13 The Coordinator&#8217;s duties are: <br>I &#8211; To comply with and enforce these regulations and the rules in force, to exercise administrative direction and to coordinate the academic and curricular activities of the Master&#8217;s Course; <br>II &#8211; To call meetings of the Course Coordination and conduct them as president; <br>III &#8211; To prepare the academic calendars of the course, submitting them to the Course Coordination; <br>IV &#8211; To submit to the Course Coordination the list of examiners who will be part of the dissertation examination committees, as suggested by the advisors; <br>V &#8211; To submit to the Coordination the names of the master&#8217;s selection committees, scholarship committees, accreditation committees and other necessary committees; <br>VI- Arrange for the presentation sessions of the qualifying exam and the public defense of dissertations;<br>VII- Arrange for the execution and forwarding of the annual report of the Program&#8217;s activities to the Office of the Vice-Rector for Research and Graduate Studies;<br><br>Art. 14. The Coordination of the special class of the Master&#8217;s Course outside the headquarters, offered in the interior of the State, will be carried out by a professor of the Program residing in the municipality, indicated by the Course Coordination, who is responsible for meeting the guidelines of the Postgraduate Program in Biotechnology and Natural Resources of the Amazon and complying with the provisions of this regulation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>SECTION IV<br>OFFICE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Art. 15. The Program Coordination will have a secretariat subordinate to it, which will function as the executive body for the technical and administrative services of academic control records and will be headed by a Course Secretary.<br><br>Art. 16. The responsibilities of the Course Secretariat are:<br>I- To organize and maintain the files;<br>II- To publish the agenda of the Coordination meetings;<br>III- To record the Program meetings and defenses in the minutes;<br>IV- To forward to the Coordinator the documents addressed to the Program that require his opinion or knowledge;<br>V- To provide the typing and photocopying services necessary for the smooth running of the services;<br>VI- To prepare reports and other documents under the guidance of the Coordinator;<br>VII- To observe and ensure the observance of the academic calendar;<br>VIII- Post notices, external material, announcements and other documents related to or of interest to the Program on a bulletin board and electronically;<br>IX- Keep records and monitor student and faculty documentation;<br>X- Keep records and keep the Lyceum digital registration program updated;<br>XI- Keep records and keep the Student Registry updated in the CAPES system;<br>XII- Register and keep the Program portal updated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>SECTION V<br>GRANTS COMMITTEE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Art. 17 The Scholarships Committee will be formed by a faculty representative and his\/her alternate appointed by the Program Coordination and a student representative and his\/her alternate, elected by their peers.<br><br>Art. 18 The Scholarships Committee&#8217;s duties are:<br>I- Establish criteria for selecting scholarship candidates, submitting them for approval by the Course Coordination, in compliance with the rules of the funding institutions and the UEA; <br>II- Allocate the scholarships made available to the course, at any time, using the criteria approved by the Course Coordination;<br>III- Submit all documentation and minutes of committee meetings to the Program Coordination;<br>IV- Monitor the progress of scholarship recipients.<br><br>Art. 19. The rules and procedures for granting, renewing and canceling scholarships will be assessed by the Scholarship Committee and approved by the Course Coordination in accordance with the rules of the funding institutions.<br>Art. 20. Scholarships will be granted for an initial period of 12 months, and may be renewed only once for the same period, in accordance with the requirements of the respective funding agencies and the UEA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CHAPTER III<br>SELECTION PROCESS AND CANDIDATE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Art. 21. The selection process for admission to the course will be annual and conducted by a selection committee appointed by the Course Coordinator and approved by the Course Coordination.<br><br>Art. 22. The rules for the selection exam, as well as the number of vacancies offered, will be decided each year by the Course Board and published in the form of a notice.<br>\u00a71. The selection notice will include the number of vacancies, the foreign languages \u200b\u200beligible for the proficiency exam, the public notice for the selection process and the determination of the deadlines, requirements and criteria for registration and selection, as well as the exam dates.<br>\u00a72. If there are remaining vacancies, it will be up to the Course Coordination to call a new selection process.<br>\u00a73. If an approved candidate withdraws, the next candidate on the ranking list will be called.<br><br>Art. 23. The Selection Committee&#8217;s duties are:<br>I- Propose the terms of the selection process, presenting the draft notice to the Course Coordination, in compliance with the UEA rules; and<br>II- Establish the topics and recommended literature for the general knowledge test; <br>III- Prepare and correct the selection process tests, together with the professors of the areas;<br>IV- Analyze the candidates&#8217; resumes and letters of recommendation;<br>V- Forward the selection results in descending order of score to the Program Coordination, as well as all documentation and minutes within ten days after the end of the selection process.<br><br>Art. 24. Candidates for the Master&#8217;s Degree in the Program in Biotechnology and Natural Resources of the Amazon must meet the following minimum requirements:<br>I. Have completed an undergraduate course in related areas;<br>II. Meet the academic requirements established in the current selection notice;<br>III. Submit, within the stipulated period, the documentation required in the selection notice;<br>IV. Prove, in the case of foreign students, proficiency in the Portuguese language.<br><br>Art. 25. Candidates holding diplomas from compatible courses, provided by institutions in another country, when revalidated in accordance with the Law, may be accepted for the master&#8217;s degree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CHAPTER IV<br>CURRICULAR STRUCTURE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Art. 26. The Master&#8217;s Degree in Biotechnology and Natural Resources consists of a set of subjects, activities, theoretical and\/or practical work, scientific research, a qualifying exam and a dissertation prepared by the student under the supervision of a PhD professor accredited in the Program.<br><br>Art. 27. The Master&#8217;s Degree, including the defense and public discussion of the dissertation, must be completed in a minimum of 12 and a maximum of 24 months, counting from the date of the student&#8217;s enrollment.<br><br>Art. 28. The course&#8217;s curricular structure presents activities and subjects characterized by code, name, workload, credits, syllabus, teaching director and bibliography, grouped into three sets:<br>I. Mandatory subjects<br>II. Elective subjects<br>III. Mandatory activities<br>\u00a71 Mandatory subjects are those that represent the formal and intellectual support that must be completed in their entirety.<br>\u00a72 Elective subjects comprise and define the Program&#8217;s research lines and are indicated by the student with the consent of the advisor, meeting the minimum necessary for the completion of curricular credits.<br>\u00a73 Mandatory activities include the preparation of the dissertation project, qualification exam and defense of the dissertation.<br><br>Art. 29 The course&#8217;s teaching system is based on credit units obtained in the subjects and activities. Each credit unit corresponds to 15 class hours.<br>\u00a71 The subjects will consist of theoretical, practical, theoretical-practical classes and seminars.<br>\u00a72 The publication of scientific articles in a journal indexed in CAPES Qualis A and B in the area of \u200b\u200bBiotechnology and patent registration, together with the advisors, are registered as complementary activities with the right to credit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CHAPTER V<br>FACULTY AND ACCREDITATION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Art. 30. The Program&#8217;s faculty includes professors with doctorates or, when applicable, professionals with public and renowned scientific knowledge, recognized by their peers, to teach classes or develop teaching-scientific activities in the Program.<br><br>Art. 31. Professors will be accredited in the categories of permanent, collaborator and visitor, according to CAPES standards.<br><br>Art. 32. The accreditation, de-accreditation and re-accreditation of professors will be regulated by standards prepared by the accreditation committee in accordance with CAPES standards, the General Regulations of the UEA Postgraduate Program and approved by the Course&#8217;s board.<br><br>Art. 33. For the accreditation of professors in the Program, it is required that they are in line with the course&#8217;s research lines, with its demand, teaching performance and adequate scientific production, in addition to availability to supervise students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Art. 34. The teaching duties are:<br>I- To arrange for the inclusion of students in research groups, ensuring that each student is registered in the reference curricular databases and incorporated into a project and line of research;<br>II- To record attendance and assessments in the UEA online teaching system, in the first week after the conclusion of the discipline;<br>III- To forward the updated proposal of the discipline plan to the secretary annually;<br>IV- To issue an opinion for the validation of credits in disciplines in their area, within a maximum period of seven days.<br>V- To present to the Course Coordination, at the end of the academic year, the annual report of the activities carried out in the Program.<br>VI- To submit for publication in journals indexed in CAPES Qualis, at least one scientific article linked to the dissertation of each student.<br>VII- To offer a discipline in the Program annually.<br>VIII- To demonstrate the capacity to obtain external resources, individually or as a team, through projects approved by the funding agencies.<br>IX- Demonstrate the ability to interact with other institutions (teaching, research or companies), through collaborative projects or consultancy, allowing the transfer of resources, as well as scientific and academic exchange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CHAPTER VI<br>STUDENT BODY<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Art. 35 The Student Body will be formed by regular students enrolled in the Course, holders of diplomas from undergraduate courses from higher education institutions, national or foreign, approved in the selection exam and\/or accepted by the Course Coordination, enrolled in subjects and up to date with their regulatory obligations.<br><br><strong>SECTION I<br>REGISTRATION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Art. 36. Enrollment of candidates approved and classified in the selection process will occur upon presentation of the following documents:<br>I- Enrollment form duly completed;<br>II- Certified copy of the undergraduate degree and academic transcript or proof of completion of the undergraduate course;<br>III- Copy of identity card, CPF, proof of voting in the last election and birth certificate;<br>IV- Copy of the reservist certificate, for men;<br>V- One 3&#215;4 photo.<br><br>Art. 37. Enrollment in subjects and activities will be semesterly and mandatory for regular students, according to the calendar published by the Course Coordination.<br>\u00a71 Enrollment in mandatory subjects will be indicated by the Program Coordination.<br>\u00a72 Enrollment in elective subjects will be carried out with the consent of the advisor.<br>\u00a73\u00ba The student will be dismissed from the Course if he\/she does not enroll within the deadline set by the academic calendar.<br><br><strong>SECTION II<br>REGISTRATION AS A SPECIAL STUDENT<\/strong><br><br>Art. 38\u00ba Enrollment as a special student in subjects in the master&#8217;s course may be granted to interested parties who have completed an undergraduate course.<br>\u00a71\u00ba Enrollment of special students in subjects will be according to the calendar published by the Course Coordinator, and is subject to the availability of vacancies and the approval of the person responsible for the subject.<br>\u00a72\u00ba The requirements for enrollment in the chosen subjects will be the same as those to be met by regular students in the master&#8217;s course.<br>\u00a73\u00ba Special students who take subjects in the Program will not be guaranteed admission as regular students in the course, and must be approved in a selection process.<br><br><strong>SECTION III<br>COURSE WITHDRAWAL AND CANCELLATION OF DISCIPLINE<\/strong><br><br>Art. 39. Withdrawal is characterized by the temporary suspension of the student&#8217;s link with the course, due to the impossibility of carrying out the regular activities of the Program during that period.<br>\u00a71. Granting of withdrawal ensures the student the right to return to the course at the end of the period granted, with a guaranteed place.<br>\u00a72. The period of withdrawal will be computed for the completion of the maximum period allowed for the completion of the Master&#8217;s Course, except in cases covered by Law.<br><br>Art. 40. The student will be allowed, through a duly instructed process, to request withdrawal of his\/her enrollment in the course, for a period never exceeding six months.<br>\u00a71. Withdrawal from the course will not be granted in the first academic period of the student&#8217;s entry.<br>\u00a72. Upon withdrawal from the course, the student will lose the right to the scholarship.<br>\u00a73\u00ba The time required for the student to obtain a degree will be counted uninterruptedly, starting from the date of enrollment in the Program.<br>\u00a74\u00ba Suspension may only be granted if the student has, demonstrably, sufficient legal time available to complete the pending activities upon his\/her return to the course.<br>\u00a75\u00ba The suspension request must be accompanied by the new schedule to be developed by the student upon his\/her return, duly approved by the supervising professor.<br><br>Art. 41\u00ba Suspension of the Course will not be granted, under any circumstances, in cases where its concession acquires the legal nature of an extension, intended to grant the student an additional period to complete the activities required by the Course.<br><br>Art. 42\u00ba Regular students will be allowed to request the cancellation of any elective subject, as long as no more than half of the workload has elapsed.<br>\u00a71\u00ba The request for cancellation of a subject must be justified and requested by the student with the consent of the supervisor, addressed to the Program Coordinator.<br>\u00a72 Cancelled subjects will not be included in the academic record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CHAPTER VII ON ADVISORY<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Art. 43\u00ba Within 30 days after the start of the academic term, the student must have chosen his\/her advisor, who is a member of the Program&#8217;s teaching staff.<br>\u00a71\u00ba The change of advisor is permitted up to the tenth month after the date of admission, upon presentation of a reasoned request, addressed to the Program&#8217;s coordinator and approved by the Course Coordinator.<br>\u00a72\u00ba In response to the advisor&#8217;s request, in agreement with the student, the Course Coordinator may approve a co-advisor, internal or external to UEA, up to the tenth month after the student&#8217;s date of admission, without the need for the student to be accredited as a professor in the Course.<br>\u00a73\u00ba The maximum number of students per permanent professor of the Program shall be six.<br>\u00a74\u00ba A collaborating or visiting professor may advise a maximum of three students. <br>\u00a75\u00ba When the advisor is a visiting or collaborating professor, the student must have a co-advisor linked to the Permanent Teaching Nucleus;<br><br>Art. 44\u00ba The advisor may be released from the responsibility of providing guidance, upon receipt of a detailed report on the reasons for the interruption of the guidance work, and the Course Coordination shall be responsible for mediating with the student for a new advisor.<br><br>Art. 45\u00ba The advisor&#8217;s duties are:<br>I- To guide enrollment in disciplines consistent with the student&#8217;s education and preparation and with the purposes of the specialty he or she has expressed;<br>II- To permanently monitor the student&#8217;s work;<br>III- To sign, together with the student, all documents of interest to the student, forwarded to the Program Coordination;<br>IV- To assist in defining the dissertation theme and in preparing the project;<br>V- Forward the dissertation project to the Course Coordination, within a maximum period of eight months after the student&#8217;s enrollment, together with the request for scheduling the qualifying class;<br>VI- Suggest to the Coordination seven names to compose the examination board for the qualifying exam and the public defense of the dissertation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CHAPTER VIII<br>EVALUATION AND CONDITIONS FOR APPROVAL IN DISCIPLINES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Art. 46\u00ba Students will be evaluated through the activities provided for in the teaching plans.<br><br>Art. 47\u00ba Student attendance at classes is mandatory and cannot be less than 75% of the workload.<br><br>Art. 48\u00ba The performance in each discipline without right to credit.<br><br>Sole Paragraph The student, when he\/she feels he\/she has been harmed, shall be responsible for requesting a review of the concept from the professor of the discipline, within seven working days, and in a second instance, within the same period, from the Course Coordination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CHAPTER IX<br>CREDITS AND STUDENT ACTIVITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Art. 49\u00ba The Master&#8217;s Degree in Biotechnology and Natural Resources will have a minimum of 100 credits, that is, 1,500 hours of scheduled activities, with 25 credits in subjects and activities and 75 credits in the development of research for the preparation of the dissertation and defense.<br>\u00a71\u00ba The mandatory subjects are equivalent to 07 credits and must be taken in their entirety.<br>\u00a72\u00ba The elective subjects, indicated in each specialty or according to the line of research, are equivalent to 18 credits. <br>\u00a73\u00ba The student who publishes with co-authorship of a professor of the Program will have equivalent use in credits, as specified below:<br>\u2022 Patent requested with registration number = 4 credits<br>\u2022 Work published or accepted for publication in a journal indexed in Qualis A = 3 credits<br>\u2022 Work published or accepted for publication in a journal indexed in Qualis B = 2 credits<br>\u2022 Work published or accepted for publication in a journal indexed in Qualis C = 1 credit<br><br>Art. 50\u00ba The credits obtained by the regular student in disciplines or activities in other stricto sensu postgraduate courses accredited by CAPES may be accepted after prior analysis by the professor of the discipline.<br>\u00a71\u00ba The request for validation of credits must be sent to the Course Coordination, accompanied by the pertinent documentation: certificate of completion, academic transcript, syllabus and program content of the discipline taken, provided that they were obtained within a maximum period of five years. <br>\u00a72\u00ba During the period of completion of the Course, the student may take courses in other Programs, with the prior consent of the advisor.<br>\u00a73\u00ba To validate credits taken in another Program, as well as courses taken abroad, the student must submit a request accompanied by the syllabus, program content of the course taken and proof of approval.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CHAPTER X<br>DISSERTATION PROJECT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Art. 51\u00ba The dissertation project must be submitted by the advisor to the Program Coordination, within a maximum period of eight months after the student&#8217;s initial enrollment, and must comply with the research lines of the Course.<br><br>Art. 52\u00ba The student may request a change of project with the consent of the advisor within a maximum period of 12 months from the initial enrollment, and must justify the reasons for the change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CHAPTER XI<br>QUALIFICATION EXAM<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Art. 53\u00ba The student must take the qualification exam between the 6th and 9th month, counting from the date of entry into the Course, before an Examining Board chaired by the advisor and composed of 2 (two) full members and 2 (two) substitutes, with the participation of the advisor and co-advisor as a member of the Examining Board being prohibited.<br>\u00a71\u00ba The advisor must submit a request accompanied by a copy of the project, in digital format (PDF file), to the Program Coordination, at least 30 days before the qualification exam.<br>I \u2013 The advisor and his\/her advisee are responsible for forwarding the project to the members of the examining board, together with the invitation letter to participate signed by the Program Coordinator.<br>\u00a72\u00ba At least one of the full members must be external to the Program.<br><br>Art. 54. The purpose of the qualifying exam is to present the dissertation project for analysis, evaluation and suggestions by the examining board, as well as to assess the student&#8217;s scientific knowledge in the various areas related to his\/her research project and his\/her communication skills.<br>\u00a71. The master&#8217;s student will have a minimum of 30 minutes and a maximum of 50 minutes to present his\/her project.<br>\u00a72. Each member of the Board will have 20 minutes to present his\/her arguments, and the student will have the same amount of time to respond.<br>\u00a73. Each member will issue an individual opinion considering the student as having passed or failed.<br>\u00a74. The student will fail when the majority of the members of the Examining Board issue such an opinion.<br>\u00a75. The student who fails the qualifying exam will have a second opportunity to retake it within a maximum period of 30 days from the date of the first exam.<br>\u00a76. A second failure will result in the student being removed from the Program. \u00a77 The Examining Board will draw up minutes of the qualifying exam, in two copies, which will be filed in the student&#8217;s individual file and in the file of the qualifying exams for the said year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CHAPTER XII<br>OF THE DISSERTATION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Art. 55\u00ba The dissertation will be developed under the guidance of the supervising professor.<br>\u00a71\u00ba The dissertation will consist of a theoretical and practical work in which the student demonstrates up-to-date knowledge of the topic, research capacity and aptitude to present the chosen topic methodologically.<br>\u00a72\u00ba The dissertation works will be written in Portuguese and must comply with the dissertation preparation standards established by the Course Coordination.<br><br>Art. 56\u00ba The dissertation defense must occur within a maximum period of 24 months from the date of entry into the Course.<br>\u00a71\u00ba The Examining Board for the dissertation defense will be chaired by the supervising professor and composed of 2 (two) full members, of which at least 1 (one) must be external to the Program&#8217;s Faculty and 2 (two) substitutes.<br>\u00a72\u00ba The date for the dissertation defense will be set subject to the submission of a copy of the dissertation in digital format (PDF file) to the Course Secretariat.<br>\u00a73\u00ba The Course Council will be responsible for deciding on the composition of the Examining Board, considering the suggestions of names presented by the advisor.<br>\u00a74\u00ba The Course Coordinator will be responsible for issuing an ordinance and setting the date for the dissertation defense.<br><br>Art. 57\u00ba The public sessions for the defense and discussion of the dissertation will be held at a previously announced location, date and time.<br>Sole Paragraph The dissertation defense session will be recorded in minutes, which will be signed by the candidate and the members of the Examining Board.<br><br>Art. 58\u00ba The members of the Examining Board will issue an individual evaluation report, in accordance with the Program&#8217;s internal defense rules.<br><br>Art. 59. The student approved by the Examining Board will have 60 days to submit to the Program Coordination two copies of the final version of the approved dissertation, as well as a digital copy with the full text, figures and other materials that are part of the work, in a single file in PDF format, for the Program&#8217;s electronic collection.<br>Sole Paragraph The issuance of the certificate of completion of the master&#8217;s course will be subject to the delivery of at least the digital version of the corrected dissertation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CHAPTER XIII<\/strong><br><strong>ON EXTENSION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Art. 60. The extension for the defense of the master&#8217;s dissertation is characterized by the granting of an additional period of time, so that the student can carry out the pending activities in the Program.<br>\u00a71. Only the Course Coordination may authorize an extension of up to six months for the completion and defense of the dissertation, based on reasons substantiated in academic, technical and scientific facts that determined the delay in the completion of the project. <br>\u00a72\u00ba Students who have completed the credits in mandatory and elective courses and passed the qualifying exam will be entitled to an extension for the defense of their dissertation.<br>\u00a73\u00ba An extension may only be granted if the student is able to complete the research activities within the requested period, as proven by the advisor through a detailed report of the activities developed up to that moment, as well as those to be developed during the new period requested.<br>\u00a74\u00ba An extension may not be granted, under any circumstances, to students who are in an irregular situation in the Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CHAPTER<br>XIV DISMISSAL<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Art. 61\u00ba The student will be dismissed from the Course when:<br>I- Does not enroll within 30 days after the period defined in the academic calendar;<br>II- Obtains two \u201cD\u201d grades during the course;<br>III- Repeatedly fails subjects;<br>IV- Is absent without justification presented by his\/her advisor for more than 30 consecutive days;<br>V- Does not meet the deadlines established in this regulation to complete the credits in the subjects, qualifying exam and public defense of the dissertation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Art. 62\u00ba The student dismissed from the Course may only return to the Program through a new selection exam.<br>Sole Paragraph Upon returning to the Course, the student will be entitled to take advantage of subjects, after analysis and approval by the Course Coordination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CHAPTER XV<br>TITLES AND CERTIFICATES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Art. 63\u00ba The title of Master in Biotechnology and Natural Resources will be awarded, with the area of \u200b\u200bconcentration indicated on the diploma, to the student who has completed all the requirements set forth in the Program and University regulations.<br><br>Art. 64\u00ba Once all the formalities necessary for the completion of the Course have been completed, the Coordinator will forward to the General Secretariat of UEA the documentation and proof of completion required for the diploma.<br>\u00a71\u00ba Request for credit counting\/full payment, attached to the dissertation defense minutes and a copy of the dissertation in physical and electronic format.<br>\u00a72\u00ba Request for credit counting\/documentation, attached to the student&#8217;s personal documentation and no debt with the University Library.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CHAPTER XVI<br>FINAL PROVISIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Art. 65. Any cases not covered by these regulations will be resolved by the Course Coordination and, in the event of appeal, by the UEA Graduate and Research Chamber.<br><br>Art. 66.
