Research Line 01: Bioprospecting, Bioprocesses and Bioproducts
A Linha de Pesquisa Bioprospecção, Bioprocessos e Bioprodutos tem como foco a prospecção da biodiversidade amazônica, na busca de espécies capazes de produzir produtos. Além disso, estuda os processos e tecnologias que ajudam na bioprospecção e/ou na produção de insumos e produtos provenientes dos ativos destas espécies.
The Bioprospecting, Bioprocesses and Bioproducts Research Line focuses on prospecting Amazonian biodiversity in search of species capable of producing products. In addition, it studies the processes and technologies that help in bioprospecting and/or in the production of inputs and products from the active ingredients of these species.

Research Line 02: Conservation and Sustainable Use of Biodiversity
A Linha de Pesquisa Conservação e Uso Sustentável da Biodiversidade tem como foco promover o conhecimento sobre a biodiversidade da região com a missão de reduzir o abismo de conhecimento sobre a riqueza e diversidade das espécies, que possam ter interesse biotecnológico. Também abarca pesquisas que garantam o estímulo e a sustentabilidade socioeconômica/ambiental das espécies de interesse do ecossistema da bioeconomia regional.
The Biodiversity Conservation and Sustainable Use Research Line focuses on promoting knowledge about the region’s biodiversity with the mission of reducing the knowledge gap regarding the richness and diversity of species that may be of biotechnological interest. It also encompasses research that ensures the stimulation and socioeconomic/environmental sustainability of species of interest to the regional bioeconomy ecosystem.
